As it’s national wallpaper week I thought I would create a downloadable desktop wallpaper! Ok so it’s not wallpaper to put on your lovely walls, but it’s going on a wall you probably see at least a few times during the week. I know I see mine everyday for my morning sessions of emailing and wanted to add a feel good vibe when my screen awakes! To be honest life has been challenging for this past year, and I was looking through Pinterest and came across this awesome quote! So here it is! The first downloadable desktop wallpaper – ‘Life is tricky baby, stay in your magic’ Quote writer unknown.

It’s been crazy in life and in the studio over the last few months! More on this later, but for now, I’m so super duper excited for this top secret wedding shoot I was a part of that is featured in You & Your Wedding magazine with some pretty cool creatives!
It’s all about that wild and free feeling. The shoot was filled with macrame, of a backdrop, table scape and hanging pot plants. Gold accents were used to bring an elegant touch to the day, with wild flowers, help yourself finger foods and stationery giving guests a glimpse of the day itself.
I wanted the packaging of the pieces to be simple with white textured card and brush calligraphy for each guest name. This was sealed with hot pink wax. When opened each guest was met with a small multi coloured macrame / dream catcher that I custom made and painted. A translucent map of the area, created in black ink, held the watercolour washed invitation and RSVP card. The main invitation was shaped into a geometric dimond that coincided with the tetrahedron within the macrame as well as the freestyle terrarium. I wanted the RSVP envelope to not be a standard one, and painted a watercolour wash on the envelope too. The menu, place names and ‘Eat, Drink & Dance Under the Stars’ sign were created with a similar geometric shape to link together with other elements within their surrounding. I absolutely loved creating these pieces! There’s something about being in the middle of a forest, with the wind in your hair surrounded by nature, and combining it with modern elements, but still raw with calligraphy and hand painted pieces.
Head over to You & Your Wedding Magazine to see more of this awesome shoot here.

This year has been a super great year of meeting awesome couples from all over the world, meeting some pretty talented creative and bloggers and being involved in some amazing top secret projects!
This is just one of the many I’ve been so lucky to be a part of. This shoot was all about wild leaves and flowers with a colour palette that I just cant stop swooning over! Golds, deep tones of purple and white. It’s perfect for any indoor or outdoor wedding and most beautiful when used within the autumn or winter season. The thought of autumnal leaves falling of reds, greens and browns just leaves me with a warm thought.
I absolutely loved creating pieces for this shoot, from gold calligraphy on deep green leaves and tones of purple calligraphy on textured fine art cotton paper for the custom stationery. I also wanted to add an element of surprise for the couples guests and have the stationery in a box, to then be opened to reveal a deep tones purple cover and a gold wax stamp to set the tone of their big day.
The shoot was featured on BLoved Blog as well as London Wedding Magazine.
Heres a little snippets of words from Racheal of Serendipity Weddings who styled the shoot
“Pinar from CuriousMe produced a hand-drawn invitation suite using rich purple ink calligraphy on textured cream paper. The suite was wrapped in stunning waxed paper and finished with a gold seal before being presented in a luxurious hand-addressed box. In addition she also created beautiful place cards using gold ink and fresh leaves along with an escort card display using ribbon and rustic wood branches.”

It was an Amazing 4 days at the Etsy Wedding Fair!
The atmosphere was electric!
A few months before there was a calling to show at the event and I was lucky enough along with 16 other amazing creatives to be apart of it all!
On arrival I was in owe of the venue! We each had our sections and set our tables up like our own mini store! It was pretty amazing and really did feel like a mini shop. I met so many brides, grooms, bridesmaids and families with amazing big day plans!
Thank you to all at Etsy UK! You all are true stars!
I’m absolutely shattered, but It was totally worth it! It was a brilliant!

It’s been 3 years of crazy cool married life with this amazing and beautiful hearted person, it’s been a wild journey so far, but this next year is going to be one of the biggest adventures we’ve both had! We’re calling it the year of ‘Just Going For It’! There is so many things we have wanted to do and we’re in the planning process of getting through our big list of adventures!
One for sure is finishing the renovations on our house!
Thanks to my amazing parents who took us in for the first year of married life, we managed to find a great little home and save all the pennies we could! It’s a total project, uncovering one thing that reveals another issue that needs fixing! We’ve been DIY’ing it ourselves with some helping hands along the way and it’s almost finish! I can’t wait to be able to hug a wall without a hole in it, or take normal steps across a floor without falling through a floor board! But we know it will all be worth it! We can really feel it now!
We always joke about the amount of free time we’ll actually have when the house is finish, and then we went into planning mode! All this DIY’ing has taking it out of us but we’re ready for a different kind of fun and adventure! So here’s to the next year of many more great journeys!

This is a little soppy post from me to all you lovelies out there!
Looking back on the year I feel totally blessed! Not just for my wonderful family and friends, but I’ve met super awesome couples and worked with some pretty cool peeps and I just wanted to say a huge big thank you for all the love, support and new friendships! I adore each and every one of you! You’ve all made 2014 a pretty epic year, and it’s totally amazing having you all on this adventure with me! From the bottom of my heart, Thank you!
It totally blows my mind thinking about where my illustration pieces have travelled to! Landing on the doorsteps of couples all over the world from California, New York, Hawaii, France Ireland, Scotland to all over England. It’s amazing where those little carefully packed boxes of illustrations have gone to, and just how much joy each little unwrapping and opening of an invitation brings!
I’m super excited about 2015! So many amazing projects I can’t wait to get illustrating, and a few surprises that I’ll be revealing soon to you guys!
Stay happy, be healthy and be great, because you are all totally awesome!
Happy New Year Y’all!

December is swinging past as fast as ice cream melts in the summer!
It been an exciting year for me at CuriousMe Design meeting awesome couples and creating pieces to share with their families and friends.
I’ve just finished my final wedding for this year and creating menus, place names and a table plan for their big day!
They wanted menus for the adults and something fun for the kids, and what better way to help kids understand what they are eating then to have illustrations of their wedding feast and be able to colour it in!
I combined illustrations and calligraphy to create a wedding menu that is fun as well as elegant. Oh I love pen and ink!
Are you having kids at your wedding? How are you keeping them entertained?

Hello me lovelies!
Hope you’re having a fun filled Friday and had a good ol feast at your Christmas party!
I’ve been in the studio creating stationery for some absolutely lovely couples and can’t wait to reveal them!
But I am even more excited for these next few weeks as I’m not only creating special on-the-day wedding pieces for a friend, but I’ve been invited to the wonderful amazing wedding day too!
After saying a quick ‘Heck Yes I’ll be there!’ I’m now left with what am I going to wear! The wedding is set in the most wonderful castle and happening at the beginning of December! A wonderful winter wedding! But, I’ve not been to a winter wedding in a while and now on the search for what to wear.
I’ve searched through all my favourite stores and found some pretty awesome ones too! But this is beginning to be a challenge!
I mean, what is appropriate to wear at a winter wedding? Does it have to be a dress? Or could you rock up in an elegant jump suit?
I’d love to wear something from Valentino’s or Ellib Saab’s Haute Couture winter collection! They’re totally out of my price range but, how amazing would that be!? Any excuse to get dressed up! .
I’m thinking of a skirt and blouse combination or a dress with some black heels I got from Dorothy Perkins in the sale a few months ago (amazing bargain £16).
So here is my run down of outfits I’ve found!
Little Mistress Prom Dres
from ASOS £27
from COAST £89
Chloe Dress from BHLDN £160
(located in the USA but has a great shipping service)
The one I went for in the end was number 1. I wanted something that I wouldn’t stand out too much in, but also just feel great and dance around in! You’ll find me on the dance floor!
Are you a guest at a winter wedding?
And what are you planning to wear?
