Menu

December is swinging past as fast as ice cream melts in the summer!
It been an exciting year for me at CuriousMe Design meeting awesome couples and creating pieces to share with their families and friends.

I’ve just finished my final wedding for this year and creating menus, place names and a table plan for their big day!
They wanted menus for the adults and something fun for the kids, and what better way to help kids understand what they are eating then to have illustrations of their wedding feast and be able to colour it in!

I combined illustrations and calligraphy to create a wedding menu that is fun as well as elegant. Oh I love pen and ink!

Are you having kids at your wedding? How are you keeping them entertained?

Hearing a lot of people talking about situations that has happened in the past and how it’s affected their path today, really reminded of situations that I have been in. Regret is not something I like to carry around. It eats inside you, no one else can see it or feel it and it’s not nice, and when you see it affecting someone, I just want to get the positives flowing of the present and the future. There is only up.

So to everyone that has regretted something that has happened or regretted something that has affected where you are today, you got to ‘stop living in regret, it’s not over yet!’ live long, live strong and live forward ~ Enjoy the ride.

As autumn turns into the icy winter nights I am getting as many pieces into finished ones. I love my black pens but I wanted to create something with a bit more colour injected into it to give this winter a warm feeling.

So here is something a bit on the colourful side using pen and watercolour to create The Hummingbird. I’m getting into watercolour and I think there is more to come.
