Hi Y’all!
Hope you’re all keeping well on this wonderful day!

Today is a great day over here at CuriousMe as I’ve launched my new site and blog! This journey has been amazing so far, and I’ve meet some amazing and pretty awesome couples. So I thought, why not create a space for all my awesome couples that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and creating pieces for all over the world? Well here it is! Introducing a new section to the blog ‘Real Weddings‘.

So lets get to it! I’m so excited to introduce the beautiful and smile filled hearts of Emma & Steve!
I had the great pleasure of meeting them at a wedding Fair, and I was truly excited when I spoke to them! They are such an awesome couple, full of adventure, happiness and so much love for one an other!

They described their wedding theme as ‘Rainbow’ – this to me is like music of colour!
Their wedding stationery was totally custom to Emma & Steve’s big day! A tipi for their wedding venue, an old London red bus for their transport and a whole lot of rainbow confetti!I created their custom invitations as folded illustrated pieces, accompanied by bright yellow and fuchsia pink envelopes, setting the mood for their amazing day! They were like little pieces of happiness, that opened up to reveal an explosion of colour and excitement for their big day! For their table plan I illustrated their venue and hand wrote their family and friends names in an array of colours in calligraphy. I absolutely loved creating their wedding stationery and so glad I had the pleasure of meeting Emma & Steve, they truly are a beautiful couple!

Wishing  Emma & Steve the most amazing future and the very best adventures together. Here’s to days filled with endless colourful rainbows and smiles.

A Two day event down at Hackney Downs Studios and we’re still excited! We were at A Most Curious Wedding Fair, and what a fair it was!
We had exhibited the year before and absolutely loved it!  Not only were we with an amazing bunch of talent but we met so many amazing couples with beautiful wedding plans!
I can’t wait to get started on some of the pieces that are coming up! Admittedly they are mostly in 2015 and 2016 but this just means CuriousMe Design is keeping busy and creating some pretty awesome stuff!

We had so much fun I wanted to do a little blog post this year of some of the lovelies I met at the fair! I actually got to meet the one and only Annable from Love My Dress – a brilliant wedding blogger! Annable’s blog is filled with some pretty awesome weddings, including Laura & Darren’s wedding! A beautiful couple that I had the pleasure in designing their wedding stationery check it out here.

And you can probably tell I am a bit star stuck already! I also met Charley from London Bride! She is a total awesome chick too! A wedding planner, stylist and blogger! How cool is that! I am totally inspired by these beautiful women!

This lead onto meeting Ellie Gillard the photographer behind Laura and Darren’s wedding, who was also exhibiting! Still star stuck by these lovelies, I also got to meet Kat from Rock ‘N’ Roll Bride, she also writes about weddings and was exhibiting with the lovely Sophie and Gareth, creative team behind Crown and Glory who do all sorts of wonderful head wear! Check out my fav here!

I have to admit, at this point I actually got a bit embarrassed at how star struck I was from all these amazing talents! I totally get we’re all the same people, but to be in the presents of these lovely woman who own their own successful businesses gave me a bit of a positive energy boost, and looking at the future of my own little studio!

Now enough of that talk and lets get onto the fair! Of course I had forgotten my camera but thank goodness for the cameras on our phones – check these out!

Oh I am so so excited for this custom invitation I had the pleasure of creating for my lovely CuriousMe couple in California! They wanted something special and handmade and came to me in the late summer! With inspiration from their mountainous venue I came up with this custom creation! And boy, oh boy they really loved it! Some of their family and friends loved it so much they kept the RSVP and let them know their answers in other ways!

Here’s some of what they had to say!
“Got the invites. They are amazing……. LOVE LOVE LOVE “

They tied the knot a Saturday in October!
Big amazing congratulations Jen & Goldie you little lovelies! Wishing you the best adventure filled with love and happiness

Monochrome Wedding Stationery

15th ∙ December ∙ 2013

A Monochrome wedding stationery set designed for a special occasion.
This set was inspired by Etsy’s Monochrome and Nordic Christmas shoot that was styled by Knot & Pop. I was asked to create a menu for the shoot and add my typography to name tags and a Father Christmas ‘Ho Ho Ho’ to a chalk board! So I decided to create a whole set that would accompany my menus.

Deer and stags to me are a very beautiful symbol of Christmas. A fierce but romantically mysterious animal. I used them as a symbol of love in the menu and added small twinkles of firework looking plants and this is what I came up with.

Head over to my Esty store to find out more about my Monochrome winter stationery set and my special occasion winter menus

The day I got the Email from the lovelies at Etsy was an exciting one!
I was asked to create a menu and add my typography to name tags and a jolly ‘Ho Ho Ho’ to a chalk board for a Monochrome and Nordic Christmas shoot. This shoot brought extra excitement because it was styled by the gorgeous ladies of Knot & Pop! Take a look at some of the shoot here!

Thank you Etsy and the ladies of Knot & Pop, the shoot is an absolute beauty and I am so thankful to be apart of it!
